The Person Behind the Frameworks and Project
Steven Robert Young has spent his career doing one thing: figuring out why some sales teams close and others don't. The answer was never talent, and it was never luck. It was structure — the right process, run consistently, by people who were trained and managed correctly. That's the work he's done privately for select clients over two decades, and the work he now offers publicly — for a limited time.
Career
Steven began his career at 19 — hired by a top-ten Fortune 500 company with no prior experience. He exceeded targets, quadrupled department revenue, and by 30 was running a multimillion-dollar division as Sales and Marketing Manager.
In 2008, he launched his own consultancy, bringing his methods to businesses across more than two dozen industries. His clients have included some of the world's most recognized names — Estée Lauder, Intel, Coca-Cola, Ferrari, Viacom, CBS, AOL, Condé Nast, L'Oreal, Pepsi, and many others.
The client work was always about building something durable — a sales operation that keeps producing results after the engagement ends, not a one-time fix. That's still the standard today.
What He Created
Out of that work came a set of original methods for identifying exactly where a sales efforts break down — developed and refined through real engagements, not theory. This is the foundation of the fractional sales management work Steven does today: evaluating a business's sales operation (how they sell), building a specific plan, preparing the team to run it, and managing the efforts week to week.
Among sales concepts that he has written about are Modelability (the ultimate goal of sales), Stage & Position, and Peripheral Selling for sales strategy; TASKS for productivity; and FACES, a paradigm for self-improvement. These aren't borrowed concepts. They are original, proprietary, and available nowhere else.
What's Next
All of it — the frameworks, the insight, the decades of experience — is now going into The Meaningful Project for sales.
Meaningful is Steven's most ambitious project: a structured app for deliberate living and working, built for people who are serious about closing the gap between where they are and what matters to them. Not a habit tracker. Not a productivity gimmick. A real system for real progress, inspired by IDEAL.

Some Background
Steven Robert Young’s story is one of vision and transformation. As the youngest sales executive in the history of a top-ranked U.S. jobber, he established himself as driven and goal-oriented. The creator of IDEAL and author of two books, Steven seemed destined to reshape how people approach success.
In 2001, he moved from Los Angeles to New York City, where, in 2008, his sales achievements inspired the launch of his own business—an uncompromising consultancy dedicated to helping his clients achieve the sales success they sought.
By 2020, Steven's consultancy had brought his methods to businesses across more than two dozen industries — proof that the same structure that works for Fortune 500 accounts works for owner-led businesses too.
